Like many of my projects, I took inspiration from phenomena in the natural world to create art for this project. All objects moving through water; ducks, boats, etc., create a trailing wake pattern of overlapping waves. This unique pattern is caused by the creation of waves of many different frequencies, with higher wavelengths moving faster. I simulated this pattern using the math of wave frequencies generated, creating this beautiful display inspired by nature.
